It cooperates with a large number of independent suppliers largely on a reciprocal basis. Services are available throughout the year 24 hours a day.

Shipping Companies

Island View Shipping: IVS was founded in 1976, acquired by Grindrod Limited in 1999 and has become a prominent bulk ship owner and operator. IVS ship between 15 and 18 million tons of bulk cargo such as minerals, coals, ores and agricultural products per annum globally.

Unical: Unicorn Calulo Bunker Services (UNICAL) is a joint venture between Unicorn Shipping and Calulo Services, a subsidiary of Calulo Petrochemical.
This partnership brings together one of South Africa’s oldest shipping companies, Unicorn which turned 75 in 2009, with new emerging operator Calulo Services, an empowered shipping and logistics services group that has enjoyed substantial growth since its formation 5 years ago.

Unicorn Shipping: Unicorn Shipping is based in London and celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2008. The company has South African roots dating back as far as the 1860’s. Unicorn’s colours of red, blue & white are a familiar sight on international waters and are known for high quality and standards. Unicorn Shipping is focused on moving liquid chemicals and petroleum products.
